My dad's job
Week 25
I'm not sure if I told you this before but I live in the suburbs. 14 miles to the nearest town. My mom works here at a small hospital and my dad works in Stockholm. My mom can cykle or walk to her job but my dad commutes with his car to his work every day. Something that costs a lot of money.
My mom and dad argue a lot about this since it is a major problem because much of our income goes to his petrol. They have concluded that he must get a job here in the suburb.
One of my dad's friend owns a farm. Farmers know that now when it's crisis they can make a lot of money, all they need is workers. This is a great job for my dad who is strong and likes the nature. But he is skeptical, he have worked at his current job in 11 years and been promoted a few times. And it is a well-paid job.
I do not think he has a choice because so much money is wasted on petrol and people need to shape themselves according to their needs.
So he will start working on monday next week as a farmer here in our suburb. To be honest i like the thought that he is in here everyday, only a few minuts away, i think it will make me feel a bit safer.
